Changes to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
We want to provide a mental health service that better meets the needs of children, young people, perinatal women and their families across South Australia.
In 2017, we consulted with consumers, carers, staff, unions, and key partners on a proposed new organisational structure to support a new model of care, which would ensure we are providing the best mental health care to our clients.
The new structure endorsed in 2017 is nearing completion. The structure addresses the final recommendations from the2014 Review of South Australian CAMHS (PDF - 4.3mb), which looked at how CAMHS could provide better care.
